Experienced Business Systems Analysis:

Our approach is to support the capture of effective business requirements using best practice methods. These include:

  • User Stories
  • Business Use Case analysis
  • Business Process modeling (As-Is & To-Be)
  • Scenario definition
  • MoSCoW requirements analysis
  • Requirement Management Plan (RMP) structure
  • Requirement Traceability Analysis

Our approach is to utilise agile methods e.g. RUP, to rapidly workshop, analyse and structure requirements around a core set of UML Use Cases.

This starts at the highest level with Business Statements of intent, through Business Requirements, and down to low level Functional, Non-Functional and Reporting requirements. The benefit of this structured approach is to deliver inherent traceability from the user through to a delivered and fully tested system.

As requirements directly integrate into the UML Use Cases , this drives straight through into the early definition of Test Cases and into Design.

Also a benefit of this structured approach is the ongoing ability to rapidly assess the impact of change against the requirements baseline.

We are experienced in advising how best to structure the requirements management process using IBM Rational RequisitePro™ toolset.
